Permutation #45

Permutation #45

The latest in my series of split bowl vessels. The main vessel features a pierced design and stippling. (the black curved element) Both the main vessel and the smaller one are hollowed to less than 1/4″ wall thickness.

It was awarded 3rd place in the Northwest Fine Woodworking container show, Nov. 2011

It was featured as the turning of the week on the AAW site in September, 2011

It was featured as the cover photo on the World of Woodturners site in Sept., 2011

The top finial lifts off to reveal a second finial under the top.

The ttle refers to the fact that this is a variation on the split bowl vessels I’ve been making and the fact that the mail vessel is tilted at 45 degrees.
